As for the receipts, there has never been advice or issues of problems from the tax office when corporate contributors or individuals claim. While this may not address your desire to have a better looking receipt, the main objective of being a tax claim is met.

The aim of the run is well publicized and can be noticed prior to and after the run by listening to some of the public service announcements, reading newspaper articles to support the run and periodic TV reporting on the success of the run in Malaysia. Please remember, the purpose of the run is to not only raise awareness of cancer (not one specific type) but that the funds rasied are used for cancer research, not cancer treatment.

The committee in KL goes to great lengths to promote at schools, shopping centers and capitalizing on the word of mouth from particpants from previous runs.

Dear Yien, you obviously are passionate about this cause and that being the case, you should consider offering your time as a volunteer or committee member. Your ideas and contribution to make the Terry Fox Run in KL grow and flourish even more would be applauded. If you are interested, please speak to one of the hundreds of volunteers or the Committee Chairperson at the run.

Ask any cancer patients what has Carif done so far?

“All receipt stubs are part of the audit process.”

This does not answer to this issues brought up: The receipt looks like it came out from a generic receipt book that can be easily bought from any stationery store. There weren't any official Terry Fox stamp on the receipt as well.'

“The Organising Committee apologizes for any oversight on our end due to the large number of small purchases.”

The organising committee are mainly run by Carif. Isn't this creates conflict of interest? How Carif fullfills the TFR requirement if this can't even be managed properly?

“The Organising Committee's function is to educate the public about Terry Fox and raise awareness only for the run. This is crucial to negate any potential confusion of Terry Fox Run being connected with any specific type of cancer.”

It would be a real confusion if runner do not know the main purpose of running!
