Is it just me or is everyone getting on their edge these days when doing their banking after off-peak hours?

I prefer to do my banking chores at night (8 pm to 10 pm) because I could skip the daytime’s traffic and you can park right in front of the bank. For the past few days, I can’t help but notice that other nocturnal-banking customers like me are very cautious about their surrounding when going about their banking activities. They have this suspicious looks in their eyes, as if there’s a thief amongst us, ever ready to pounce on the next unsuspecting victim who is making cash withdrawal from the ATM machine. Everyone just hopped out of their cars and tried to finish their banking activities in record time and jump back into the security of their car with a huge sigh of relief.

I guess the helplessness of the situation can’t be helped. It’s just too easy for these ‘bank robbers’ to get away with their loot, and the victims who lodge a report is probably going to get another round of humiliation at the police station anyway.

Some of these banks (especially the foreign brands) took the trouble and hired security guards to watch over the safety of their clients at night.

Maybe I should re-schedule my banking routines and I would suggest that you utilize online banking facilities whenever possible.
