KFC – The Chicken People

I had a bad time when visiting one of the KFC branch few days back, and decided to give the KFC people my piece of mind.

My original email was sent to:
customerservice@kfc.com.my (Email bounced…)
customercomplaint@kfc.com.my (Email bounced…)
camaris.kiat@kfcholdings.com.my (From a phone call, I gather he’s the Customer Complaint Head. No response since the email was sent…)

After trying the most common way of reaching to the Chicken Experts, using e-mails and phone calls, I’ve concluded that these people are not very interested in my feedback after all.

I’ve finally found a private corporation that is as “efficient” as the government.

And when I thought all hope was lost, I found the KFC International Consumer Feedback link. And this is what I got repeatedly:

  • Company like this big should put first priority to listen to customer feedback. Probably they wouldn't care much since their credibility is so strong, just my opinion. You may want to try your luck to log a complaint at consumer rights organization.
  • it all boils down to see who is at the helm, if the guys up there dont bother about customer service, dont expect anyting better from the lower rungs.
    if you know why you cant insisit of having 3 drums sticks for dinner plate instead of the assortment when ordering, pls let me know
  • Once, my friend and I went KFC to have chicken (obviously). After the first bite, blood started oozing out from my friend's drumstick. It was still a little raw inside near the bone.

    So, we went to the counter hoping to change a new piece but the manager refused cause the drumstick had already been 'bitten'.

    This happened long ago when we were still schooling so we also 'gong gong' accept the reasoning.

    I experienced the same problem with our 'beloved' TM. I sent an email to various email address I found on the site. Only to receive an auto response that says something like this:

    "we are no longer using that email address... please revert to this alternative email address..."

    Of course I forward the same email to the alternative email address... and thats the last I've heard of it. Its not only frustrating and infuriating... but it just shows how fundamentally flawed and incompetent TM's corporate thinking is. Its pretty much the same at most government offices and especially in schools.

    Sadly, our country will not achieve true world class status until our leaders and general population have a paradigm shift in their thinking.

    Maybe you should try sending your feedbacks to the consumer's association instead :P
  • Would be reaching out to more if u are sharing ur experience here in meshio, with ur traffic and readers and then might boom out to the press and other bloggers and mcdonalds and burger king's personalities, aka anti-kfc parties.. they would help u create the hype against KFC.. can we call this as taking advantage of the nature of web 2.0?
  • Jian, since these major corporations always has the tendency to take advantage of their customers, I think it's about time the customers has a "little" say in this unfair supplier-consumer ecosystem.

    The only problem is, no matter how many grievances are posted, as long as the proper authority is not doing anything about it, I doubt the consumer's rights can be protected at all. Think "Super Size Me!".

    One thing is for sure, I won't be visiting KFC anytime soon.

    i assumed dat a few people in out there r complaining bout kfc service,bt dis is my comments or might be a compliments to those in kfc's peoples especially in kfc desa kepong..who s d mgr is,i didnt knw bout d real name bt sounds like Bee (sory then),she was entertained me so politely,humble n very professional..the staff also gve me a gud service etc,i managed to see those custmers,she was did same thng..its gud to be a role model to others custmr service line..in dat case,i'm not protest bout othrs,coz i like kfc much..

    i also had a bad experience at kfc. example: when i order 3 piece of chicken, then the result is 2 piece. or i order 3 item , then always get 2 item only. what they do??????????????????
  • Well, what can I say?

    I am not about to risk my life dining in a place where I wouldn't even get any attention if I'd complaint to them about food poisoning after eating at their restaurant.

    There are definitely better fried chickens elsewhere.

    Middle fingers to you, KFC, and I sure hope you lick them good!

    It's the one together with the Shell station alongside NKVE highway, right opposite Aman Suria.

    But the crux is not with the branch in particular, but rather, the way they choose to ignore customers' feedbacks.

    us feel very valueable.good job to them especially to the
    branch restaurant manager.

    ive been working in kfc football stadium in just 2 weeks..the managers and the staff are being so rude to the trainees..and theres no website to complaint about this..really dissapointed..

    i want compaint kfc giant plentong at johor. staff attitude very bad when almost closed time. order food have waiting half an hour. when i ask the staff on duty , you waiting.....

    Had some complaints about 1U KFC outlet, made a report on International Consumer Feedback & was quite pleasantly surprised when the service manager called to enquire personally rgdng my complaint,gave him a pc of my mind & quite immediately he took action, I hope KFC can improve further otherwise they can hire 'me' to help!!! Looking forward to more improvements!!! NOW I KNOW IF YOU COMPLAINED TO KFC INTERNATIONAL CONSUMER FEEDBACK link, you will get some response, keep up the improvements

    I went to KFC RAWANG 1 on 28 Jun 2009 at 16.27 with my family members.I m really dissappointed with taste of chicken(original recipe)here.its very very flat taste...can say ..without taste at all.soo flat as it taste just like a piece of chicken fried without any ingredients on it.I feel very !!!!!!!!!there is no word to say as this can be happened in my no 1 choice of restaurant.I been patronizing KFC for almost 25 yrs.I hope i can rely on you to overcome this type problems in future.thank you.
  • Murthy, have you tried frying chicken yourself? I think it's much healthier (although vegetarian readers would never agree to that).

    I would use the 'Kentucky' powder (ironically named), add some garlic powder, some onion powder and a little bit of pepper.

    Toe-lickin' good!

    i went to KFC Tampin two days ago and order bubur lambuk, for my shock to the size of container and that bubur( rice,pulut?,5 kacang kuda ) really shows that KFC making maney. with 6 spoon bubur they charging RM1.40 with 5% goverment tax. I can get 2 bowl of bubur for free if i go surau near by. Please don't cheat you costumer!
