Mr Goh shared with me his concept of family planning. You should have more than one child in the household.
Why?
If something unfortunate happens to one of the children, at least you still have another one to keep the house lively. He remembered how one of his friend’s family became almost like an asylum after the only child in the family died in an accident, and they are too old to have another go at parenting.
You can always try adoption, although it’s not a very common trend here in Malaysia. Nothing beats “original products”, so goes the Asian attitude when it comes to family planning.
Still, having an extra kid just for “insurance” sake really is a new thing for me…
