Last Words

Zewt wrote an interesting piece on the importance of writing your last words as early as you can. His advice is simple and straighforward, “Don’t ever let this happen to you!

last-words.jpgYes, that means NOW. And he definitely based it on his own personal experience. But how many of us actually even bothered to sit down and think about it? If it’s not going to happen tomorrow, most of us won’t even consider to jot it down in our “To-Do-List”.

Procrastination in writing your last words can lead to unforeseen problems and issues, such as assets being frozen for an indefinite time, as the government authorities take their own sweet time to handle (if they even bothered to look into it) your case.

While the delay continues, your daily routine continues…

1) college tuition fee
2) household expenses
3) home loan payments
4) credit card payments
5) car installments

…and many other immediate expenses that involves a lot of cash.

This is one reason why KWSP and Insurance is not distributable together with your will, because they acknowledged the DELAY can be DEADLY to the family members the deceased left behind.

“Till death do the family apart”…like Zewt advised, don’t let this happen to you and your loved ones.
