My experience with HR Managers hasn’t been a very significant part of my working adult life… well, partly it’s because I don’t often find myself working for other people.
From the experiences my friends shared with me, relationships (I mean working relationships) with the HR Manager is usually a love-hate one, no gray areas. Here’s a real-life memo, and to protect my source, I won’t be revealing from where it was issued, but I can assure you its genuineness.
Take note on the “bolded” paragraph…
Dear All Staffs,
You may apply 2007 entitlement annual leave in 2008 calendar from today till December 31, 2007 to avoid being forfeited. It is the responsibility of the employee to ensure that his/her annual leave application is approved by the Director before the employee takes the annual leave.
Please be informed that employees are NOT allowed to take any annual leave, day off, emergency leave from October 17, 2007 till December 31, 2007.
Best regards
On behalf of The Management
