Something that occasionally flashes through my mind. My hamlet, Kluang, is a quiet and peaceful town, about 100 km northwards from Singapore and about 40 km southwards from Batu Pahat. Why am I working in a busy city, with time-consuming traffic jams, money leeching toll plazas and sardine-packed LRTs? If I choose to run my business mainly in Kluang…
I won’t have access to TGVs nor GSCs…
I won’t have access to StarBucks…
I won’t have access to RedBoxes…
I won’t have access to 40-minutes drive to Genting Highlands…
I won’t have access to buzzing nightlifes…
And having no access to those listed above means I can save a lot more money and have more time to myself :-D
So what’s stopping me?
And the flash of insight stopped right there.
Off I go to work again the next morning (not in Kluang). But I am glad the nature of my business allows me the flexibility to operate from anywhere, as long as I have my laptop with me.
