Apparently these guys who developed the AIA web pages live in Malaysia. They haven’t heard of the IE killer yet.

Hate sites like this. They discourage traffic. They’re most probably the work of some incompetent web-designers/programmers/masters, who couldn’t maximize the site’s compatibility by recognizing other browsers.

Browser-discrimination is indeed, a thing of the past. It should be.

Yeah, if your site decides to discriminate visitors by the web browsers they use, it just goes to show you how much you care about your prospective customers and their experience.

http://finance.google.com works in any browser. It’s never about the technology, but always the people.

1) It is irritating, but actually in certain cases only 1 browser can be supported. In a case you would be familiar with.. online stock trading platform software! Excelforce, used by RHB, SJ Securities and others, only works fully in IE.

But of course, that being said, the web team could have made basic information available to non-IE users.

2) It is very easy to detect non-IE browsers: it only needs ONE line of code to redirect non-IE browsers to another page.
