With these new prepaid cards, I guess it’s much easier to call home and ask for more.
From a parent’s perspective (though I am not one yet), I would prefer my kids to use hard cash, since it’s a better way to let them feel the “actual” amount of money they are spending.

AmBank (M) Berhad launched its first college co-branded prepaid card ??NexG-Metropolitan College prepaid MasterCard ??targeted at students of Metropolitan College.
The general manager for its AmBank Credit Card and LOC division Perry Ong said on May 4 that AmBank had entered into a synergistic partnership with Metropolitan College in this product offering to a large market segment of college students.
??ith the NexG-Metropolitan College Prepaid MasterCard, parents will be able to better manage their children?? monthly allowances and have the flexibility of remote top-up directly to the Card from any internet banking facilities,?? he said.
