Nope, it’s not a new model from Naza…just that my Saturday afternoon was spent deleting spam SMS’es broadcasted to God knows how many innocent mobile phone users.

The email goes like this…

Dear Webmaster or to Whom It May Concern,

Can you please forward my email to the relevant authorities regarding the recent SMS promotion that reads (sent on 27th Jan 2007):-

“CREAZIEST DEAL on brand NEW CBU cars!E200 AV RM289K. Estima RM229K. Wish RM153K. BMW320i RM208K.Harrier RM235K. FINAL 2 DAYS. Only at Naza Auto Mall PJ.HURRY!”

I do not remember subscribing to any of your promotional activities. If the messages has been unintendedly sent, please remove me from your SMS broadcast list as I do not wish my limited phone storage be bombarded with promotional messages.

I have already contacted my telco provider- Maxis and they’ve told me that there’s nothing that they can do to help me unsubscribe from your broadcast, since there’s no “Sender details” from your SMS.

Your attention on this matter is greatly appreciated as it will save my phone from being overloaded. I would also appreciate it if you can tell me how long it will take you to complete the process before I bug you again.

Also, being a professional and well-established organization as you have stated in your website here: http://www.naza.com.my/html/p_nazagroup.htm I would wish to know how did you get my contact in the first place?

That line about asking them how they got my number is inserted so that I can know the culprit who started all this!
