Public Bank’s Latest Phishing Scam

I just received an email from Public Bank out of the blue.

I just confirmed the following phishing scam with the Public Bank’s customer service department. It seems that this phishing scam is just fresh out of the oven, only been spreading on cyberspace for the last 48 hours. The email instructs users who wishes to update their account information to an unrelated website.

If you have received this email, or as a rule of thumb, any emails that has links to an internet banking portal, disregard it and delete it immediately. Do inform your friends whom you know has a Public Bank account.

Here’s how it looks like (click on the image below for larger view):

Public Bank Phishing Scam

The reason why I could immediately tell that it’s a phishing scam, I don’t have any businesses with Public Bank :-)

  • About the yahoo phishing, I wrote about it last year but I just deleted it as I want to make my blog more targetted. Luckily, I didn't ask my father to give them any info. I didn't notice the fake emial address.
