Lampe Berger: Scam or No Scam?

I didn’t expect that this thread is still alive after so many months since I posted it. I would like to hereby make a conclusion to this entire furor over the legitimacy of the whole Lampe Berger thing.

First of all, my conclusion is totally made up of my own opinion, and it might not suit your way of looking at the whole thing. But I hope you do not take offence or feel that I am in any way saying what you think right now is wrong. All I am hoping is that we look at this whole agenda in an objective manner, and if you ever start feeling uncomfortable as you read through this post, click the “Close Window� or “Ctrl+W� button immediately, and we can still be friends! :-D

Okay, here goes… Firstly, I do not want to condemn the way Lampe Berger is going about their distributing or recruiting scheme. If someone is making profit out of it, fine. If someone is enjoying the process of distributing and recruiting using the scheme, fine. As for me, after looking at the grand scheme of things, I have personally concluded that to use such a scheme to achieve my personal financial freedom is not aligned with my personal guidelines.

You see, this is a personal choice. I can neither make this choice for you nor for anyone else. You need to check with your conscience and if you think your decision can make you sleep soundly at night, than it’s the right thing to do.

Many of you might say that some people are brainwashed into joining the scheme, but how can one be brainwashed without being actively involved in the decision making process. Let’s not go into hypnotism here, we are here talking about adults who have learn enough about how to differentiate whether an act is helping others or harming others. So, for those who are brainwashed, you must already have the intention inside of you before you can make the decision to do something.

Back to the issue, I would like to point out that this scheme is neither evil nor good. This scheme only becomes evil if some greedy individual make use of it to victimized other individuals to achieve his objective.

This scheme is good if it’s used to distribute a product with the intention to reduce cost and increase efficiency so that more people can enjoy the product at a reasonable price.

Once again, the good and bad of this plan do not lie in the plan itself, but with the executor of the plan. If you have no idea whether the execution has resulted into something positive or negative, just listen to the feedback of the people who has joined the plan or used the product. This should give you a very good standpoint to judge your action and also to review if you should continue the cycle again. Judging can also be very difficult if you do not posses the necessary experience and information, and hence it is better for you to seek advice or opinions from people who are more knowledgeable than you and of course, whose opinions you respect.

I would like to re-emphasize my standpoint; I do not want to condemn this “marketing plan�. I have personally used my own “guidelines� to evaluate the whole scheme and have concluded that I am unable to accept the way this scheme works and hence if I’d join this business, it will make me a very unhappy person. No doubt, some people are making tonnes of profit from it, and that’s good for them, and I hope they are able to give as much as they’ve received. As for me, I can still achieve my financial objectives through a different channel, while enjoying the process of getting there, which is exactly what I am doing now.

As for those people who had been “lied to� or “scammed� by this plan, all I can say is learn from it. Yes, you can complaint and rant about it for the rest of your life, but if you do not learn why you had been “scammed�, then you will still be scammed again by some other scams that comes along the way. There’s nothing worst in life than making the same mistakes over and over again.

That’s about it, my conclusion on the whole Lampe Berger agenda. Like I said, do what you wish with your money, nobody can stop you. My only advice to you is, do not just look at the all the nice promises and gimmicks you see with your raw eyes. Take a step back, ask yourself:

(i) Is this really something you want to do?
(ii) If the plan fails, will you be able to take up full responsibility?
(iii) Will you feel happy doing it?
(iv) Will it benefit everyone and yourself?
(v) Would you want others to do this onto you?
(vi) Will you be able to sleep safe and sound tonight?

If you answer NO to any of those questions above, you should be very clear what to do next- keep your day job!

    One of the poster asked why no action has been taken on DHCL/LB guys.

    The answer is pretty simple actually. One of their top high flyer is an MCA bigshot.

    So now DHCL is protected by politicians and triads.

    Who dares to touch them ?

    yes - the company, products & marketing plan offers a great business chance. but if you abuse it, shower people with nonsense, please will feel cheated. i blame the greedy distributors who only promote things which will benefit them, not to what suitable for someone.
    im a proud member of dchl, under steady global network & i am doing fine - covering half of my investment in just a month - with the help of my uplines and network friends who are always ready to help, even if they wont get a cent out of it.

    and one more thing, they shouldnt force you to take speed plan for count. just start off at 2.5k, they are always alternatives to climb the rank.

    this is not an investment scheme where you put 36k and hope the money will grow. with 36k you get products worth over 43k.

    if you sell, you'll enjoy the 20-38% profit margin.

    if you get enrollment under you, you'll enjoy the profit margin plus huge company commission ranging from rm234.50 to rm5316.00 per person enrolled.and after that, you'll get commission again and again everytime your downline has activities.

    but if you invest 36k, get the products but nothing about it, of course you dont get anything. if you rent a shop, bring in stocks but never open, how to make money?this company offers a chance to work your money until the money works for you endlessly, up to a stage where you can just sit back & relax & just check your statement.if you open a conventional biz for 20 years, if you choose to quit today, you'll stop earning. but not in this biz. once your network is established, the money will come to you effortlessly.but you have to build your foundation first.

    Steady Global Network or SYN both sucks & scams. Always after your money and ruin yr life!!! The product is good but the problem only the people involve with LB... I know 1 of the Duke and lots of Marquis got only not more than 3K per mth (told by DCHL staff) If you want to do biz just get involve in REAL biz.

    People who just shout out "scam! scam!" are just scamming themselves, their friends, and everyone around. Because they don't even understand what is going on. Get the full research and understanding.

    MLM is an opportunity! Not a given success.

    For those who haven't thought about their future, do you want to work until your 60 - 70 or 80 before you retire? Do you want to work under a boss for the rest of your life struggling to pay bills and the mortgage loan or rent? Do you have dreams and desires of doing things you want before you grow too old?? Do you want to spend time with your loved ones instead of working day and night without vacation?

    I've thought about all this, which is why i started out investments when i was young. DCHL is one of them, and it's proven to be my best investment yet.

    Is it a scam? Well I'll tell you all this.. my investments all made back and now enjoying four figures a month income. Do you think i got scammed?

    Is it unethical? I'm making money through this business.. I shared this opportunity with my friends and now they all make money with me too.. Imagine if I kept this from them.. I wouldn't think they would like me very much today. Except I shared with them what i believed was a good OPPORTUNITY and i let them decide for themselves. Some joined some didn't, we're all still good friends. Then again, my friends who didn't join are struggling and need our financial help now.. sigh

    It is an OPPORTUNITY to create a passive income. You don't just put money in and sit back and hope it'll make money out of nothing. I worked hard in the beginning. I didn't give up when i felt like it was difficult. Now i'm happier than ever with my family and friends enjoying life together. We don't have a boss, no manager no one to tell us what we have to do just to pay the bills. Life is great.

    Why won't you sleep at night? I sleep so good because i know I am helping others not just for financial freedom, but also TIME freedom. Time is more valuable than money. I want to spend a lot of time with my family and loved ones. Having a job that requires 8am to 7pm is not something I want for my future.

    People invest into the business hoping for the same thing. They will work hard to achieve this. DCHL hasn't lied to me. I am achieving my dreams of success.
    I can't be skeptical my whole life. I need to take a chance. So now i have not even looked back.

    So again, I am making money here. I have shared it with my friends this opportunity, and they are now too making money (some still making back their investments). I help others in the business and I don't force anyone to do this against their will. I hope I am still ethical.


    It doesn't matter what others tell you, think for it yourself.
    Scam? I can be your answer.
    And it is only ethical to share what's good with others.

    This is just my opinion of what a unethical scam is.
    Think about it..

    SYN "successful, young entrepreneurs"? they drive sports cars but live in rented cheap flat, 4-5 people sharing, minimal furniture!! the car is just the "bait" waiting for big fish like you to get fooled!! have they read Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki? House is an asset, car is liability- just like LB / SYN...diabetes, heart disease, cancer, asthma, migraine, obesity, all can cure with fragrant oil? huh? close down all hospitals now...

    People, Cool... It's a fair business. All business needs inversments. It could be money or time or efford... If you just want to put in money and expecting monthly 5 Figure income, i suggest you something, Get RM 1.2M (Cost Ferrari F430), and invest in in FD, where you can neglociate with bank for 10% per month, where you will earn RM 10k each month...
    When comes to business, you need to workout, we are not going to build out network forever. When we have enought partners, We will open out outlets in popular shoping complexes and all the distributor will be given a share from the sales, Don't you want it?
    The most popular "cable tv" service in Malaysia is a product of MLM! You people are being MLM product comsumer everyday.
    Mark-up? A can drink Cost RM 0.17 sen but we buy at RM 1.70 each because the distribution expenses and promotional expenses, the same can if in a PUB or Club will cost RM 15.00 you didn't even question that.
    So cool. Non of our product will cure the sick la you BS coconut... We relife those. If you don't know then don't talk.
    If you cant do, why invested RM 36k? Go for RM2.5k... If you don't want to do then fine, we respect you. Don't just F##k around..

    Lampe Berger??arghh....i'v been cheated by my upline.His name Yap Hon Ban,when i join in all of them are caring about me,after 3 months,the marquis of our team,Jess ask me to get a count place cost around RM30k and u wil succeed in 6 months,and if i wan to refund within 6 months,i can get back my 90% money..but when i wan to refund,they don even give it,and say continue do and find more frens to come,we can talk to them,but at last they slowly leave me and don care of me,because of my upline wan to challenge marquis,so ask me to get a count place,wat a stupid upline..if u really wan to join MLM biz,please do not go to tis SYN,it's a cheated company..don get fooled by tis!!!!!!!

    Yes, I agree totally with Chris on this- just go to the meetings and find out for yourself.

    However, it's common for these meetings to be filled with lots of elements of brainwashing.

    Just remind yourself constantly to stay neutral and do not make any decisions until you are in a better state of mind.

    For your informations, I’d met with many SYN member and I’d been to the room of the member who INVESTED RM30,+++. You know what I see The STUPID LAMPs are all around ! Let me ask you all, if Lampe Berger “REALLY REALLY GREAT, FANTASTIC, YES!�, then why this member couldn’t sell even one of his products?

    A businessman/woman will only sell products in the market if the products is really good. As a result, that member has to struggle, work part time for his life expenses.
