Now, to all dear power puff guys and gals, you must be wondering where all that money went…

Study is based on a standard packet of Marlboro Lights 20s. Thanks Ian for providing the latest cigaratte pricing index.

Also, an assumption that the price of a pack of Marlboro Lights 20s stays the same for the next 5 years. (yeah, not a very good assumption…)

Figures above also do not include the medical expenses incurred for the damage done by the continous puffing during the 5 year period.

    Never knew what you guys find so soothing in smoking yourselfs to death.

    I for one, couldn't get hooked on either cigs or booze. I prefer acquiring taste for fresh raw garlic, fermented kimchi, century eggs.

    But I do have an issue with caffeine, can't seem to do without kopi ais.

    What a shocking fact! I know many people who smoke more than a pack of cigs a day and I'm sure they'd be surprised at how much money they burn away every single day. Imagine spending that amount of money on books, how much wiser (instead of sicker) one will get...

    Sher Li, yup... but without smokers, people will live longer and can contribute to the society longer, all these talents who are killed by cigarettes pre-maturely...I tell you, no amount of money that the cigarrete companies pay in tax or bribes can buy them back...
