Impact of Fuel Hike on Bloggers

If you think the hike of fuel only concerns the real world, wait till you see how the extra 30 sen per litre also affects the virtual world.

At least one group of bloggers are having a fun time debating on the fuel hike’s policy/conspiracy. Over 100++ comments…that should take you some time to read.

To cope with the hike of petrol, I can only advice petrol consumers to:-

1) Plan your trip before you step on the pedal.

2) Avoid traffic jammed areas (this does not apply if you stay in Klang Valley).

3) Pay the toll man if the distance is more than the petrol charges for the trip and it saves you at least 50% of the time. Not applicable to most tolls in Klang Valley, since in most cases you get stuck in the jam either you pay or don’t pay the toll.

4) Leave the house or head to your destination before/after peak hours.

5) Don’t go shopping during weekends.
6) Opt for a fuel efficient vehicle if you are planning to get a car. This will save you alot in the long run.

7) Get a job that’s nearer to your home. It’s saves money, time and PETROL!

8) Practice fuel efficient driving techniques. For more details, click here.

9) Shop and buy in bulk when you visit the supermarket. Avoid multiple trips when you can buy everything in one trolley.

10) Pay your bills online, so you don’t need to drive and queue at the counter.

11) Play more computer games, so you don’t go out so often.

12) Cook at home. Eating out is petrol-unfriendly.

There are many other ways. What do you reckon?
