Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam could not believe that quit rent in Malacca had increased by over 1,800% in some areas.
He said the exco only approved a 20% increase in quit rent and the quantum should not be so high.
“It could be a mistake,� he told reporters after meeting the Jonker Walk Street Carnival.
