Visa has just announced another upgrade for fraud prevention.
Visa International has introduced a new credit card design incorporating enhanced security features which the company claimed would make counterfeiting more difficult.
The company said the new credit card combines an ??asy to recognise, difficult to be reproduced?? hologram with the functionality of a mangetic stripe ??making it more difficult for fraudsters to reproduce while making it easier for merchants to recognise.
Here are some nice figures on credit cards frauds and how much it’s costing the credit card industry. I hope CitiBank will be sending these security-upgraded Visa cards soon to her users. The hologram would look really cool and “fashionable”.
Just a word of reminder though, the added hologram doesn’t mean you have any deductions on your late payment interest.
