Management or Technology?

This great article from Harvard Business Review explains how creativity is the most important ingredient, the most effective fuel in propelling a company to greater heights. And it seems it’s not rocket science, since creating the environment that encourages creativity to prosper requires management skills, and not a technological mindset.

I like this quote:

SAS recognizes that 95% of its assets drive out the front gate every evening. Leaders consider it their job to bring them back the next morning.

How true, but how many actually gets it?

Another would be:

It?? important to make sure people throughout the organization hear customers??voices loud, clear, and unfiltered??o they??e as unambiguous as a stock quote.

Haha… I tried this one myself…and the result is hilarious! (insider’s joke)

In fact, I really suggest you read through the article, and if you think forwarding it to your senior management will help to improve things, then you should. As a matter of fact, I would really like to hear from a Malaysia company that can boast such an environment.

Is your current company focusing more on technology, on profit-making, on how to build the next killer-app?
